Pigment is such a substance that tends to change the shade of light when it is reflected through it or when it is reflected through a material on which the pigment is applied , as it absorb a certain & specific wavelength. In this whole process, the color what we see, solely depends on the pigment and not on the material. It is widely used in chemical, plastic, paint, dyes & colored master-batch pigments; in a nutshell dyes & pigments are used in a number of different industries.

This industry continued to boom since the last decay as a number of manufacturers of pigments emerged in the market since then, the unprecedented progress of Asia, specifically the middle eastern region where the construction industry is at immense progress which leveraged the demand of dyes & pigments, not only that but the aggressive progress of other eastern countries which includes Iran, Iraq, India and Bangladesh in the textile sector also increased the demand of chemicals (paints & dyes).

If we see the progress of this industry in Europe and America, where the demand kept on increasing specifically in north of America and the west of Europe for the last 5 to 7 years and the graph of this industry is inclining and coming years will give many new manufacturers of pigments, specially china paint manufacturers to serve the UN tapped market of the region, many producers of dyes & pigments are already eying on the areas where this trend is going to shift and preparing themselves to serve the market. Developing countries have higher need of chemical and other intermediaries ( dyes ,colorant) as different industries are at their developing stages hence it can be concluded that coming years will take this industry of dyes , paint and chemicals to newer heights and unprecedented growth.
